Hey there, we are Ash Zampa and Thomas Jones. A couple of horse crazy enthusiast who decided to go all in on our dream of creating a better world for the horse. Foundation First Horsemanship was created with two simple goals in mind;
1. To build a community of like minded people who want to continuously grow in their horsemanship and
2. To provide horses with the best possible start to their life under saddle.
Thomas saw a huge gap in the horse industry as he often is called to be the last option for a lot of troubled horses. He identified that majority of the horses that came to him as problem horses all had something in common. Their foundation was either rushed, missed or had gaps. FFH is about educating not only horses but people. It's about ensuring that people understand that their horse only gets ONE FIRST START. We pride ourselves on creating safe, fun and educational environments for people to learn and get vulnerable.
Thomas has spent all his life learning from the horse and dedicates his time to building strong foundations, helping horses in need and mentoring his clients.
We are located in Kurmond, a beautiful suburb in the Hawkesbury NSW.
OUR PURPOSE
PREPARING HORSES AND PEOPLE UP FOR A LIFETIME OF SUCCESS.

Include but not limited to:

Our horsemanship is influenced by the philosophies and methodologies of the legends Buck Brannaman, Ray Hunt and Tom & Bill Dorrance. Over the years, we have both learnt from many different horsemen and women and here in Australia we have been fortunate enough to learn directly from Anthony Desreaux, whose mentorship has helped shaped our practical application. We believe learning never stops, and we value every opportunity to put ourselves back in front of mentors to continuously grow.
If you have questions about the opportunities available in our programs, feel free to send us a message. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
